Vapor barrier and underbelly repair, the protection your mobile home stands on

The black wrap under your home is what keeps Florida's moisture out of your floors, insulation and ducts. When it tears, humidity moves in and soft floors, mold and sagging insulation follow. We repair sections or replace the entire underbelly with equivalent or better material.

What the service covers

  • Full under-home evaluation with photos before any work.
  • Section repair: damaged area cut out, insulation put back, sealed with reinforced barrier material.
  • Full replacement: old wrap removed, insulation checked and topped up, new bottom board installed edge to edge.
  • Rodent and pest entry points closed as part of the job.
  • Photos of the finished work under the home, so you see what you paid for.

How we do the work

  1. 1A technician crawls the entire underbelly with protective gear and lighting.
  2. 2We find the cause of the damage first: plumbing leaks, animals or age.
  3. 3Repairs use reinforced barrier material rated for mobile homes, taped and strapped to the frame.
  4. 4A section repair is usually half a day. A full replacement takes one to two days.
  5. 5We leave you the photo record of the sealed underbelly.

How pricing works

Every home is different, so we do not publish one-size-fits-all prices. Tell us what is going on and we come back with a written quote for your home, before any work starts and with no obligation.

Common questions

How do I know my vapor barrier is damaged?
Common signs: floors that feel soft or cold, higher humidity inside, animals under the home, or visible black material hanging down. If you are not sure, our maintenance checkup looks at exactly this.
Is this covered by my park or my insurance?
Usually it is the homeowner's responsibility. The good news: catching a tear early means a section repair instead of a full replacement, which is a fraction of the cost.
Do you also fix the soft floors the moisture caused?
Yes. Floor repair is one of our services, and doing barrier plus floor together is the right order: seal the moisture out first, then fix the floor, so the problem does not come back.
