- Why did my floor get soft in the first place?
- Almost always moisture: a slow plumbing leak, a failed window or door seal above, or a torn vapor barrier below. The original particleboard used in many mobile homes absorbs water and loses strength. We replace it with treated plywood, which resists moisture far better.
- Do I need a permit for this?
- Structural floor repairs in mobile homes go through the county's mobile home repair permit. We handle that as part of the job, the same way we handle permits for transport and setup.
- Can you replace the flooring in the whole home?
- Yes. Waterproof vinyl plank over the full home is a popular upgrade and we quote it by the square foot, together with any subfloor work it needs first.
